Virat Kohli

 Virat Kohli is an Indian international cricketer and one of the most prominent figures in world cricket. He was born on November 5, 1988, in Delhi, India. Kohli is considered one of the best batsmen in contemporary cricket and has achieved numerous records and accolades throughout his career.


Kohli made his international debut in August 2008 in an ODI match against Sri Lanka. He soon established himself as a talented and aggressive batsman, known for his strong technique and ability to chase down challenging targets. He has represented India in all three formats of the game: Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).


In 2013, Kohli was appointed the captain of the Indian cricket team in ODIs. He later became the Test captain in 2014, succeeding Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Under his leadership, the Indian team has achieved remarkable success in all formats of the game.


Kohli holds numerous records in international cricket, including being the fastest player to score 8,000, 9,000, 10,000, 11,000, and 12,000 runs in ODIs. He also holds the record for the fastest century in ODIs by an Indian, reaching the milestone in just 52 balls.


In addition to his international career, Kohli has been an integral part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the tournament's inception in 2008. He has consistently been one of the leading run-scorers in the IPL and has captained RCB since 2013.


Off the field, Kohli is known for his passionate and competitive demeanor. He has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Cricketer of the Year on multiple occasions.
