Manipal University

 Manipal University, now known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), is a private deemed university located in Manipal, Karnataka, India. It was founded in 1953 by Dr. T.M.A. Pai and has since grown into one of the largest private universities in the country.


Manipal University offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines, including engineering, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, allied health sciences, management, communication, architecture, and humanities. The university is renowned for its quality education, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and emphasis on research and innovation.


MAHE has several constituent colleges and institutes, including Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP), and Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), among others. These colleges are spread across the Manipal campus as well as other locations in India and abroad.


The university has collaborations and partnerships with numerous international universities and institutions, facilitating student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and academic collaborations. MAHE has gained recognition for its academic excellence and has been consistently ranked among the top institutions in India. It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A+' grade, and several of its programs have received accreditation from professional bodies.


In 2020, Manipal Academy of Higher Education was classified as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India, which grants it greater autonomy and funding opportunities to enhance its research and educational capabilities.
